Partington Theatre has been a part of Glossop’s rich history for almost 70 years. This year we are taking on the Heritage Weekend with the enthusiasm and gusto of our forebears had for the Victorian Weekend. Our planning for what promises to be a fabulous weekend for the town is underway.
We are bringing back the afternoon teas but with a difference. Our clubroom will be styled as Partington Mess Hall and Cafe and various themed performances will be happening in the theatre and Norfolk Square during the whole weekend.
- A gazebo on Henry Street for face painting and tombola/raffle – this is our signpost into the theatre.
- Drama workshops on stage.
- A newly written melodrama ‘The Gloss Hop‘ and an additional short sketch – ‘Driving Mr Diddy‘ to be performed on stage throughout the weekend. FREE Shows – Donations welcome.
- A float in the parade.
- Photography stand with scale model Spitfire. £5per photo.
