It is with great pleasure that we can now announce the season’s plays. As with every year it has been a rigorous process of approving directors, reading scripts, choosing from the options. Then it’s onto auditions and casting. The fun of costumes, photos, set design, lighting and soundscapes starts to build over the summer months in preparation for the season to open with the first Players play in October.
Our actors will soon have their scripts, lines will be being learned. And before rehearsals can even begin, we have summer maintenance to do on the stage and auditorium. The props and furniture get checked, cleaned and repaired, the dressing room and costume store get aired out and deep cleaned, the paint and wood stores get cleaned up, the stage flats get a year’s worth of paint stripped off and repaired, and last summer’s lighting upgrade will be completed.
But, without further ado, the Partington Players 2023-2024 Season will be as follows:
October 2023 - Now and Then
October 9th – 14th
Now and Then by Sean Grennan, directed by Ken Redfern.
