Last year we held a very successful open day with an all access pass to the theatre. This year we are kicking it up a notch and holding the first annual Fun Day! There will be activites all over the building, from the usual carnival style games to some new, theatre specific ones, lots of activites, challenges and competitions!

It’s Competition Time!

Short Story Competition

Write a 500 word story o the theme of adventure, with a minimun of three charachters.

The winning story will be turned into a short sketch, to be performed at various fairs and carnivals over the summer months.

Costume Design Competition

Design a costume for a pantomime dame, including all the underlayers required to keep her decent! Give your dame a name.

The winner will recieve two tickets to the 2026 Partington Players pantomime.

All story competition entries must be subitted to the theatre by 1pm and all costume entries by 3pm on the Fun Day. Advance entries can be sent via email to info@partingtontheatre.org.uk or by posting through the letter box to the right of the front door (its quite high up). All entries must include the entrants name, contact details and age (even for adults, but we won’t tell!). Winners will be notified as soon as possible after the day, or come down on the day for the judging announcement.
