Partington Players Present A Theatre Evening- In Memory of Melvin Warhurst
Melvin Warhurst Memorial Christmas Theatre Evening
This special theatre evening comes almost a year since Melvin passed away, so it seemed fitting to mark the occasion with an event which he (along with the late Robert Brown) initiated and at which he excelled with his monologues and recitations in the venue which was very much his second home. Melvin loved being among friends and family and the Christmas Theatre Evening was one of the highlights of Partington Players social events. A time to enjoy homemade entertainment which got everyone into the festive spirit. I am sure that Melvin would be humbled and honoured to have an evening in his honour, and he will very much be there in spirit as we remember his talent as a raconteur and performer extraordinaire.
Any money raised from this evening will go towards the Theatre Renovation Fund, which Melvin started many years ago.
