Deep is the Night

Deep is the Night

Written by Alan Stockdill

Talking Stock Productions are back with a brand new play from award-winning playwright, Alan Stockdill.

Set in post war Britain and spanning six decades up to the present day, ‘Deep is the Night’ is an autobiographical account of one family, torn apart by mental illness, who found strength from the struggle and survived against all odds. Stockhill delivers his trademark humour, as well as showing a perfectly poignient look at Northern working class life. This is a true story of resiliance, bravery, endurance and above all, LOVE.

Set to a background of classic songs, and drawing from real family memories, it’s a bittersweet, heartwarming tale you won’t want to miss.
