An immersive exploration of the story of World War 2, through the experience of Glossop Town.
This year celebrates the 80th anniversary of the D-Day Normandy Landings, join us as we delve into the rich history of our town’s contribution to the Second World War. Our show brings to life personal accounts, stories and secrets through word, song and music. From evacuees to soldiers, and from factory workers to land girls, Glossop was a hive of activity, and played an important role in the war effort.
An integral part of the 2024 Glossop Heritage Weekend, this will be an evening of reminiscence, remembrance and celebration with Glossop Old Band and Partington Players, featuring the voices of those who witnessed, contributed and gave their lives over 80 years ago.
This event contains readings of first hand accounts and as such may contain details that some may find upsetting.
Suitable for all ages, some first hand accounts maybe upsetting.
