The Ghost Train - it’s kooky, it’s spooky and it’ll be a whole lot of fun! Climb aboard.

2nd Auditions For Ghost Train

In the Clubroom. Directed By Ryan Williams.

A few words from the director.

I’ve been a fan of The Ghost Train for as long as I can remember, having very fond memories of watching the 1941 film version (starring Arthur Askey and Richard Murdock) as a young child with my dad.

Whilst this movie is the most famous incarnation of the story, it does deviate from the stage play script somewhat – and it’s the faithful telling of Arnold Ridley’s stage play that I’ll be bringing to Partington Theatre.

There are many reasons to love it, and chief among them is the fact that it’s a true ensemble piece. Each cast member (10 in all) plays a part in delivering the drama, tensions and laughs that have made The Ghost Train so popular with performers and audiences alike – seeing it continually performed and never out of print for over 100 years.

If you’re passionate about great storytelling and being part of a cast that works together to deliver a collective and cohesive story among them, drop me a line – or simply come along to auditions. I’d love to see you.
